Social Events

Twice each year we get together for a social event – your chance to meet other like-minded neighbors! In the summer, there’s a potluck barbecue at an ACT member’s home or local park. In early December, we enjoy a holiday drinks-and-appetizer gathering at a local restaurant. You’ll learn about these activities from our email outreach, so please fill out the ACT contact form.

Party Meetings

The Elkhart County Democratic Party holds a monthly meeting, and Democrats work as volunteers at information booths at county fairs and other community events. Also fill out their contact form to be notified of their events.

Candidate forums

Open-to-the-public event where Democratic candidates discuss their background and their objectives once they are elected to office.

Forums on important legislation

Open-to-the-public events where significant state and national legislation is discussed and likely social and economic outcomes are presented.

Parade participation

Gathering together with the ACT banner leading the way, we hand out small American flags and greet our neighbors while we walk together in the parade. Democratic candidates for local and state offices join us and hand out their literature. Adults, children, and grandchildren all have fun!
