LETTER WRITING

There are several ACT Nappanee-Wakarusa members who write letters all year around as part of VOTE FORWARD. It only takes bits of time here and there. The idea is to send heartfelt handwritten letters to unregistered and low-propensity voters encouraging them to participate in our democracy; the focus is on targeting underrepresented and young people in swing states.

Here’s the testimonial from one of our ACT members: “I firmly believe that letter writing can have a real impact. In 2023, I wrote letters to voters in Virginia, and I believe our efforts contributed to flipping the state house and maintaining Democratic control of the senate. Our collective action prevented Governor Youngkin from passing the conservative legislation he expected.” VOTE FORWARD even provides stamps, letters and envelopes for those who need them. If you want to talk to local volunteers, complete our Contact form and someone will contact you. You can join the Vote Forward mailing list and they will share data insights, discuss progress and note where to focus attention in the future.
